Here is the other half of this now completed backcountry camping project.....
Going North to South from Barlow Creek Campground (non-operational and FREE) to Barlow Crossing Campground (non-operational and FREE), crossing NF 43 down Barlow Road to White River Station Campground (non-operational and FREE) and a little beyond that, there are by my count 32 FREE Dispersed Backcountry Campsites, many of incredibly high quality, in fact some of the BEST Backcountry Campsites I've seen in the entire Mount Hood National Forest Area!
So I embarked on a project to capture all 32 of these FREE Dispersed Backcountry Campsites. It took me 3 Separate Visits little side trips while I was going through the area anyway since different ones were occupied at different times, but ultimately I got all 32 of them.
Because of the complexity of trying to keep track of 32 unmarked, unnamed Campsites, I have created my own arbitrary numbering system taking a very methodical approach for ease of use and reference, otherwise its hard to even talk about any specific Campsite without using "you know, that one next to that big tree" type ambiguous references.
So here is the Video Link for anyone interested, it has clear Chapters per Campsite #1 - #18 North of NF 43 up Barlow Road to Barlow Crossing Campground and Barlow Creek Campground as the end of the line.
My ranking by my own arbitrary numbering system (which is better than nothing) would be:
1st - #10 Dispersed
2nd - #9 Dispersed
3rd - #4 Dispersed
4th - #3 Dispersed
5th - #3 @ Barlow Crossing Campground
6th - #2 Dispersed
